Liberated After Dark

Jodi Parry

Jodi Parry

Jodi is a writer drawn to the parts of the human experience that are often hidden, misunderstood, or considered taboo. Through her work, she explores the beliefs, conditioning and survival strategies that shape who we become, inviting readers to question whether anything within themselves is truly broken.

Following a near-death experience in 2020, Jodi's understanding of life shifted dramatically. Rather than searching for meaning beyond this world, she found herself becoming deeply devoted to living within it, grounding herself in the ordinary, embracing the complexity of being human, and discovering freedom through radical self-acceptance.

A mother, lover, and, at times, dominatrix, Jodi writes from lived experience with honesty, curiosity, and compassion. She believes there is no part of ourselves that is inherently bad or wrong, only parts waiting to be understood.

She is the creator of Liberated After Dark, a platform dedicated to empowerment, self-expression and integration. Alongside her essays and creative projects, she is currently completing her first of two memoirs, which both differently explore the lifelong journey of reclaiming the self beyond fear, shame and conditioning.

Jodi enjoys a life of contemplation, a close circle of friends, and the simple pleasure of being spoiled in thoughtful ways, valuing meaningful connection above all else.

The writing lives on Substack.
